A sacred belief system where everything in nature—trees, animals, and water—possesses a soul.
Arat Sabulungan is the ancient belief system that governs how we interact with the universe. We believe that everything in nature has a soul (Simagere). If we take something from the forest, we must ask for permission through rituals to maintain the balance between the human and spirit worlds.
This spirituality is led by the Sikerei (Shaman), who acts as a bridge between worlds. Through sacred dances, songs, and herbal medicine, the Sikerei heals the sick and ensures that our community remains in harmony with the spirits of the ancestors and the jungle.
